Went in for an oil change, and five hours later get a call saying it’s done. I was looking at the paperwork, and the back page has a note saying the oil pan cover is leaking bad. Which was underlined three times with exclamation point. Nobody said anything. First oil change on new truck. Then nobody will answer phone, so I drive down. I was told to drop it off and leave it and when they have time, they will look at it. Maybe when your promising great service, start sales pitch with this.

The whole Chevy team was very respectful and knowledgeable about the emissions problem concerning my new truck and were very polite and understanding when I was voicing my disappointment in bring in a new truck already. I got ahold of the Chevy customer service people and they came through quick and had the part sent up to Anchorage within a few days and the part was put in within a week thanks to Shane at the service desk. Much appreciated and it’s running perfect 👍

My 2007 Silverado was purchased new at Chevrolet of South Anchorage #148 and has been regularly serviced there through the years. I took it in Friday, 2/23/2024 because the "Service 4-wheel-drive" light was on. It was to be finished Monday the 26th, and I would get a call to pick it up. On Saturday, I got a call from the mechanic, saying the work was going to be more than expected, so instead of the estimated $233, the bill would be around $1,100. Also, the throttle body needed cleaning, and that would be an additional $700. (The throttle body had been cleaned less than two years ago; about 11,000 miles ago.) So the bill grew and grew, from the estimated $233 to $1,708.87! Very disappointing, but I trusted the necessity. When I hadn't heard by Monday afternoon, I tried numerous times to call the service department, but no one answered. Then I left a message but got no response. Also disappointing. On Tuesday the 27th, I called yet again and got an answer. The truck was ready. No one likes even the hint of a "bait and switch," but this was extreme.
