I scheduled my new truck for its initial service (7500 miles) and a check engine light had come on. The check engine light went out 24 hours later and stayed off for the 5 days until my appointment. I told the service advisor upon the arrival to my appointment and he checked the code and said it was probably a software glitch. So we proceeded with the initial service which he said would take two hours. After two hours I called to check on progress to see if I could come pick it up. I left a message and replied to the autogenerated text that I would like an update. After another hour I did the same thing, message and text. Having not heard anything and it being 5 hours since I dropped the truck off I called for an Uber to take me back to the dealership. Upon my arrival the service advisor I dropped it off with was not there. It took 10-15 minutes just to find out where my truck was. Once it was located nothing had been done. Apparently they had parked it in the back waiting to diagnose the now nonexistent check engine light. I sat in the dealership for another 90 minutes waiting for my initial service. They did change the oil but did not rotate the tires or perform any of the other suggest maintenance items that are listed by GM. All around terrible service.
