This was one of the most positive customer service experiences in my 41 years of life! Thank you so much Kim. Chevy Dealership is lucky to have you as an employee. Kim was professional and showed she really cared. She understood we loved 3 hrs away from Anchorage and tried her best to accommodate us on one of our scheduled trips to the city to have the work completed. She was flexible with the drop off and pick up times. I have told this story several times to friends just how pleased and easy my experience was.

Your business model which requires you to leave your vehicle on site for up to a month to access warranty repairs makes no sense. Why would anyone purchase a new vehicle/truck if they knew how unwieldy this process is? Few folks can afford to be without their vehicle for an extended period. Please address this problem.

Knowledgeable, friendly service technician

I went in to get the used truck (2020 GMC Sierra) transferred over to me from the previous owner. Josh in the service department found the truck in the system and got it transferred over so I could begin receiving notifications. He pulled up the only current recall (software update) and informed me when to bring the truck in. I then walked over to quick oil change department to ask about getting my 2008 Silverado in the next morning - Mike was able to get me right in for my service!! It was a great morning!!

One of the easiest buying experiences I have ever had.

I made an appointment via the app and arrived on time only to be told that they don’t really follow the appointments, and that it’s just first come first serve for drop off on oil changes. I was a little frustrated, since I had planned my day around this oil change and did not have a lot of time to just spend waiting, which is why I really appreciated the fact that I could make an appointment. Also, they did not reset whatever they needed to reset so that it shows I had an oil change in my app. I don’t see a way to manually do that myself, so it looks like I get to go back to the dealer and seewhat’s up there. Overall, the service was fine, and I ended up only being there about 30 minutes, which is what I had planned for. But it really put me off the whole experience, to be told first thing that my appointment didn’t really exist.

Excellent customer service

My 2024 Silverado with less than 3000 miles had a serious electrical issue and quit on me. I had to have it towed to Lithia. I was in Anchorage as my wife was in the hospital having suffered a stroke. I dealt mostly with Kim Delimont. She was always polite and as helpful as she could be and I was not the nicest as I was under a lot of stress. Kim kept me informed and I have been told that they found the problem and fixed it but I have not picked the truck up yet. It is VERY expensive for me to get to Anchorage so Kim said they could hang on to the truck until I make it back to Anchorage In May. I also dealt with Dawson Sleeper and he also was very polite and helpful in spite of my stress level. I will definitely go back to Lithia South Anchorage Chevrolet.

The service department at Lithia Chevrolet of Anchorage is absolutely stellar! No matter which service advisor we get on the phone (Dawson and Shane are my wife’s favorites) they are efficient, very pleasant to deal with and always point us in the right direction. I will continue to purchase vehicles from Lithia simply because the service is outstanding. And as someone in the automotive industry, myself, I really appreciate the rockstar, Service!

Mike at the check-in desk has poor customer service. He was very rude to me and I noticed that he was the same to the parts employees behind the counter. No customer should have to feel disvalued. I am not coming back to Lithia Chevrolet South.

I stopped by for a drop-in oil change and to check a low tire pressure alarm. My usual advisor wasn’t available, but I had the pleasure of working with Kim, who was amazing. She gave me an accurate time estimate and kept everything running smoothly. Turns out, I had a 3” nail in my tire, thankfully, it was repaired and is now good as new. I always enjoy coming here for oil changes and filter replacements. Great service as always!

Mike was amazing. However, on two separate instances Shane provided lackluster customer service. My first encounter with Shane, I came into the service center to ask a couple of questions and schedule an appointment for tire replacement. He told me because I had previously reached out via text he wouldn’t help me and that I should wait for a text back from the other advisor or schedule an appointment online. (The other advisor was on lunch so I opted to schedule my appointment online.) When I came in for my scheduled appointment Shane told me he couldn’t help me but that I should pull my car into the bay (I had already done that) and then he directed me to Mike. Since I had booked online and not with a service advisor, my tires were never ordered so I drove back to Eagle River with no service. Mike called me later that day and was able to find similar tires in town and scheduled me for the following day. While waiting on the tire replacement to be completed I waited in the customer waiting area where originally CNN or Fox News was on. No big deal, somewhat neutral programming. Then someone changed it to an ultra political left wing podcast style channel and the lady was cursing and using very vulgar language. It was extreme left wing nonsense. Even though Mike’s service was excellent, I cannot imagine I will be back to Chevy of South Anchorage again.

The Salesman Josh was very responsive and between him and the finance manager the transaction went quick and effortless. Only spent 5 minutes at the dealership and was on the road.

Bad service

Great location, great service and outstanding people.

I brought my 2019 C7 Corvette in for an oil change and 30,000 mile service it had been in storage for the winter and I wanted to get it serviced for the summer time. I called and left a voicemail at the South Anchorage Chevrolet Lithia service dept. Mike Williams contacted me via text message stating that I could bring the car in for service and that it would take about 1-2 days. I brought the car in on Wednesday May 7th and worked with Shane Schenker on servicing the car over about 4-5 days he was very communicative and kept me up to date on the service and what the costs would be, I even asked him to check out the life of the tires and was recommended to order new ones. Everything went smoothly and now I am just waiting on the new tires to come in so they can be put on the car.

Experience at the dealership was top notch! There is a man named Rose and he was phenomenal. Appeared our needs and was very polite and helpful. I wanted a Tahoe, but the milling was pretty high and so he found us a traverse and my wife and I fell in love with it. He put our needs as priority 1. He wasn't pushy and he even called me and asked me how I was doing with the car and hope everything is going okay. Rose is the MAN!

Started off good, I was happy with the vehicle test drive and the salesman and our conversation while driving but then we returned to the dealership and that's where the experience went downhill. We discussed trading in the chevrolet trax that I own and how much I expected to receive on said trade-in. When he came back with the "terms" somehow the selling price seemed to have changed! First I was offered way less than I was willing to accept for the trade in, he explained that the reduction in the selling price was $1000 plus the $3500 offered for my trax. Somehow applying those 2 figures to the selling price only reflected a total of $2000 OFF the selling price! Now I will admit that I am NOT the greatest in math but I manage to struggle along and even I know that $4500 does NOT equal $2000 less on the selling price! For me that was the END of any kind of communication and or negotiations! I hate deception & greed while trying to "be my buddy distraction" while trying to slip the knife into my back, I won't stand for it and I will never be back to your dealership ever again. Side note here, I purchased my Trax at this dealership brand new!

The service department seemed understaffed. It always takes at least an hour and half to two hours to get an oil change.

Westley did not try to make an emotional connection with us to help with the sale. He was all professional, answered our questions and treated us with the respect we expected. Nothing makes us walk away from a vehicle sale faster than a salesperson who is portraying that they are interested in us beyond what our vehicle needs are. Westley exemplified professional salesmanship, was professional in his dress, conversation style and rapport.

They were quick to take a look at our problem and then to address it. Parts had to be ordered and this was accomplished quickly. We scheduled in to complete the job then picked up our Terrain the next morning. I visited the dealer today to have my oil changed. I was told that it would be completed with in the hour.

I am very satisfied with the service I received. It would be nice if I could schedule my oil change since I’m from out of town. Other than that, I’m very satisfied.

The repair shop supervisor I worked with was very courteous and managed his position well. The dealership contact system outside of direct line numbers for the technician was a disaster. The number provided on the website will immediately prompt an automated message saying they prefer texting and hanging up. There’s no option other than messaging them. Once you get the automated text message, you respond with what service you are requesting and never get a message back. You text back once a day for 3 consecutive days and finally get a response. The response asking what they can help you with, then proceed to ignore the messages for days or never respond at all. Again, the 1 on 1 interaction with the supervisor was satisfactory while the contact structure for the dealership was unsatisfactory.

The vehicle was scheduled for a software update. I brought the vehicle is at 7 am as recommended by the service department staff and was assured the update would be completed and vehicle available for pickup by the end of the day. This was not done. At 5pm when I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was told it "slipped through the cracks". Staff was polite and apologetic. Work was completed by noon the following day but I expected, and planned upon better service.

Mike in the express service department made my tire experience very positive. He helped me make a decision that was beneficial to me and got me on the road quickly. Can’t say enough how helpful and knowledgeable he was.

Called and made appointment to get the AC fixed and when got there told the car would be needed for a few days. Wasn’t told that up front so wasn’t able to leave vehicle that long. It’s just a simple fix, probably no more than 1/2 hr so it would have been nice to know before the appointment the vehicle would be needed for several days.

There were 4 trucks in line ahead of me and I was still done quicker than I am at my home dealership (with an appt!). Mike and the guys were professional and fun to talk with. The only thing that was ridiculous was the price…$191 for an oil/filter change?! GM can’t be hurting for money this bad.

Your tech did not screw the oil plug in tight. I did not discover it until I had 6 foot by 3 foot oil spill on my garage floor- it is now two weeks later and I am still trying to clean that up. That was a Sunday, I drove. 7 miles to your garage only to discover no service people there on Sunday. I drove out on Monday and your people put oil in. I went to a different garage and they tightened to oil plug.

To be honest I came in a few months earlier with the same issue, left my contact details after talking to another service agent and never heard back. That was disappointing. Returned because the issue with my parking break got worse. Other feedback would be I wanted to drop the truck off after hours but gates were closed. Would be handy to have an area outside where customers can park vehicles and walk in to the key drop. Overall good experience and love my 3500HD.

I stopped at AutoZone service as the check engine light came on. There was an issue with the coil and spark plugs. Brought it to Chevrolet of South Anchorage and asked to have those replaced as well as an oil change. The serviceman set it up. The mechanic asked if I’d like the valve cover replaced as well. I agreed and my suv was repaired in no time. I am very happy with the service received and the work that was done. Thanks to Shane and the mechanic.

Shane was the best! My car had a manufacturing defect that tore up the exhaust system. Shane got my car right in and got new parts ordered right away! He communicated with me every step of the way and let me know when the parts arrived and even set me up with a loaner car while mine was being serviced. What a God send, not having to worry about how to get to work or doctors appointments while my car is being repaired! They had it back to me very quickly and Shane was great and had everything ready for me when I came to pick it up. I was on my way to a wedding that day and Shane did his inspection quickly and had my car right out front for me and nice and clean and 100% covered under warranty! 10/10 and thank you Shane!

I had them change my oil. They forgot to put my oil sticker in the window, which confirms the next time I need to change my oil. This is the second time in a row and even before I walked out the door I asked the lady I said did you put the sticker in my window? She said yeah they should have when I went outside to check my vehicle. I confirmed they did not. They also did not check tire pressure and when I asked if my coolant was checked, she told me that they do not do coolant there. I was under the impression when you get an oil change check your tire pressure they check your coolant and all your other fluids to make sure that they are full or if they need to be addressed, but they did change my oil

Here are the facts. I had an appointment for a Monday. My vehicle wasn't seen util Friday. When my vehicle was seen, the estimate was about 2.5 times the cost of the parts and the typical labor rates. This cost my wife 4 more days of lost income in addition to the day she took off for the scheduled appointment. Apart from that, Josh gave me a great restaurant recommendation.

Your Sale staff was very helpful, efficient and a pleasure to do business with. I can't say the same thing about your Finance department. I had no problems with the individual, but I took issue with the offering of your extended warranty. It was either sign and take it now because once you leave you no longer have the option of signing up for it. Talk about coercion. Even though I elected initially not to take it I did the math and cost of repairs I did sign up for it, But not totally happy. I suggest that you give the buyer a week to make that decision. This is the first time I've bought a new car sight unseen. When I called checking on the 2026 tahoe at Chevrolet of South Anchorage, I ended up talking to Jerry and he did a great job answering my questions. When it came time to finance it Isaac did a great job with that. I can't wait to see the car and drive it.

They emailed a status report on the vehicle inspection and health. They marked that my air filter and cabin air filter may need attention soon. I don’t this curious as I changed both of my filters 2 days prior to getting my oil changed. This makes me assume they don’t even look at the filters, they just mark I need one and charge me accordingly if I agree to have them change it. Or is it standard practice to mark as needs attention regardless of condition? If that’s the case, why is it even an inspection item?

My first visit there went really well. Dropped off my vehicle in the morning and they gave me an Uber to get home. Was notified once the vehicle was done and asked if I wanted an Uber back. Vehicle was ready and in front of the dealership when I arrived. The customer service was great, and the vehicle was returned in good condition. All four rotors on my 1500 Silverado where warped? Only 40k miles on this vehicle, how is this possible? I have talked to other owners of this same year of truck, and many have had this same problem. The price tag to repair was $2800.00. This is crazy!! The dealership folks were great, service in a timely matter. Also, oil change and tire rotate. But when I left now I have a tire service warning light barking at me every time I get in the vehicle. They said bring it back in and they would trouble shoot. Tire is just fine. I live an hour away from the shop, not so easy to just go leave the vehicle for an unknow amount of time for small issue that should have been addressed be fore it left the place...........frustrating.

The guys working the shop are great! Please make your website reflect the fact that an appointment for a specific time means your vehicle will be looked at that day, not necessarily the appointed time. I would have planned differently had I known this.

My power steering went out on my 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500. Truck is still at the dealer waiting for repair. I don't know what the hourly rate is (maybe $250/hr), but I only went to the dealer because my auto shop (located a 4-hour drive away) said my power steering module needed to be reprogrammed and they couldn't do that. The initial dealer estimate was $500 to diagnose the problem. The subsequent estimate is $1,700, and I'm not sure of the breakdown in diagnostics, the module part, and labor to replace the part. I've generally liked this truck since purchasing in 2014, but numerous parts have failed in the past year and I'm now wondering about a replacement that will last more than about 10 years.

My recent visit exceeded my expectations. I purchased a 2025 Chevy Trax RS from South Anchorage Chevrolet last year and love this vehicle. But I was a little disappointed when the back up camera failed. Called the service department and Kimberly D. scheduled me to drop the car off for the repair. She scanned it with her diagnostic device and found that the issue was an internal short that caused the malfunction. She expedited the delivery of a new camera and installed it the next day! 2018 chevrolet colorado, had a broken cooling line, they were able to get it in without an appointment, looked at it and replaced line in the time frame they told me, kept my informed of the progress (was a little more expensive than i had anticipated) . Addressed another issue not related to the cooling line. Everyone i had contact with was friendly and helpful.
