Rose and Jerry were great and very helpful, thus the reason for the 5 stars. Although if there was a specific question about management, I would’ve given no more than 3 stars. I wish there was a little more communication from the back office. I had asked to speak with management during negotiations and unfortunately they never showed their face. I didn’t get a congratulatory handshake from management either. Doesn’t really look good on the dealership

Traded in a new truck with major engine warranty issues. Steve Freiss was extremely helpful and worked to get me into another vehicle as cost effectively as possible.

I stopped at AutoZone service as the check engine light came on. There was an issue with the coil and spark plugs. Brought it to Chevrolet of South Anchorage and asked to have those replaced as well as an oil change. The serviceman set it up. The mechanic asked if I’d like the valve cover replaced as well. I agreed and my suv was repaired in no time. I am very happy with the service received and the work that was done. Thanks to Shane and the mechanic.

They emailed a status report on the vehicle inspection and health. They marked that my air filter and cabin air filter may need attention soon. I don’t this curious as I changed both of my filters 2 days prior to getting my oil changed. This makes me assume they don’t even look at the filters, they just mark I need one and charge me accordingly if I agree to have them change it. Or is it standard practice to mark as needs attention regardless of condition? If that’s the case, why is it even an inspection item?

All four rotors on my 1500 Silverado where warped? Only 40k miles on this vehicle, how is this possible? I have talked to other owners of this same year of truck, and many have had this same problem. The price tag to repair was $2800.00. This is crazy!! The dealership folks were great, service in a timely matter. Also, oil change and tire rotate. But when I left now I have a tire service warning light barking at me every time I get in the vehicle. They said bring it back in and they would trouble shoot. Tire is just fine. I live an hour away from the shop, not so easy to just go leave the vehicle for an unknow amount of time for small issue that should have been addressed be fore it left the place...........frustrating.

My first visit there went really well. Dropped off my vehicle in the morning and they gave me an Uber to get home. Was notified once the vehicle was done and asked if I wanted an Uber back. Shane was the best! My car had a manufacturing defect that tore up the exhaust system. Shane got my car right in and got new parts ordered right away! He communicated with me every step of the way and let me know when the parts arrived and even set me up with a loaner car while mine was being serviced. What a God send, not having to worry about how to get to work or doctors appointments while my car is being repaired! They had it back to me very quickly and Shane was great and had everything ready for me when I came to pick it up. I was on my way to a wedding that day and Shane did his inspection quickly and had my car right out front for me and nice and clean and 100% covered under warranty! 10/10 and thank you Shane!

I had no problems with the individual, but I took issue with the offering of your extended warranty. It was either sign and take it now because once you leave you no longer have the option of signing up for it. Talk about coercion. Even though I elected initially not to take it I did the math and cost of repairs I did sign up for it, But not totally happy. I suggest that you give the buyer a week to make that decision. I had them change my oil. They forgot to put my oil sticker in the window, which confirms the next time I need to change my oil. This is the second time in a row and even before I walked out the door I asked the lady I said did you put the sticker in my window? She said yeah they should have when I went outside to check my vehicle. I confirmed they did not. They also did not check tire pressure and when I asked if my coolant was checked, she told me that they do not do coolant there. I was under the impression when you get an oil change check your tire pressure they check your coolant and all your other fluids to make sure that they are full or if they need to be addressed, but they did change my oil

My recent visit exceeded my expectations. I purchased a 2025 Chevy Trax RS from South Anchorage Chevrolet last year and love this vehicle. But I was a little disappointed when the back up camera failed. Called the service department and Kimberly D. scheduled me to drop the car off for the repair. She scanned it with her diagnostic device and found that the issue was an internal short that caused the malfunction. She expedited the delivery of a new camera and installed it the next day! staff was knowledgable and friendly. parts took a long time to come in after diagnosis. The wait for diagnosis was over 3 weeks and no loaner car was offered. The diagnosis was not complex troubleshooting , they need more staff top get to customers in a reasonable amount of time or more loaner vehicles for people with brand new cars that are broken.

There was no information about brakes,tires, did you stop doing the vehicle inspection?

Here are the facts. I had an appointment for a Monday. My vehicle wasn't seen util Friday. When my vehicle was seen, the estimate was about 2.5 times the cost of the parts and the typical labor rates. This cost my wife 4 more days of lost income in addition to the day she took off for the scheduled appointment. Apart from that, Josh gave me a great restaurant recommendation.

My power steering went out on my 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500. Truck is still at the dealer waiting for repair. I don't know what the hourly rate is (maybe $250/hr), but I only went to the dealer because my auto shop (located a 4-hour drive away) said my power steering module needed to be reprogrammed and they couldn't do that. The initial dealer estimate was $500 to diagnose the problem. The subsequent estimate is $1,700, and I'm not sure of the breakdown in diagnostics, the module part, and labor to replace the part. I've generally liked this truck since purchasing in 2014, but numerous parts have failed in the past year and I'm now wondering about a replacement that will last more than about 10 years.

Outrageous fee for merely changing oil and adding a small amount of DEF fluid, and adding about 5 lbs of air to each tire. Labor cost, must have been a physician doing the labor. Then getting berated by Mike for not waiting for him to get me, after I observed my truck was done and parked outside. I had advised him I needed to get to hospital where my wife was. I doubt I’ll ever buy another vehicle or go back for Service after this experience !

Was in for oil change. Asked for them to check my tire monitor. 1 was out. Said the can relearn it to see if it fixes it. Said I needed new. $250 service. Didn't think to check before leaving. Mistake! Later I went to check to have all 4 of them out! Don't understand how checking 1 of them messed up the other 3? So know another trip to the dealership

Mike at Lube Express communicated very well with me. Letting me know my oil service was done and recall completed. His crew also found a water pump leak and they immediately ordered the necessary parts and let me know. He then continued to contact me with updates and finally called when my truck was fixed. Very impressed on how he handled my truck servicing. Made me believe in Lithia Chevrolet again.

The website needs to be updated. You can schedule a service on the website, but when you get to the dealership it is first come, first serve. Also - the texting thing for call backs doesn’t work. I never got texted back for over a day.

I have been thinking about a getting a new truck and a pal sent some pics of a new Chevy he bought in another state which led me to look closer at Chevy trucks. After taking a test drive in Anchorage, I was very impressed with the vehicle and began to talk price with the dealership. A deal was met and now I own a 2026 Silverado 1500 Custom. May not be the fanciest truck out there in the Chevy lineup but it fits my needs and I certainly recommend that anyone searching for a vehicle reach out and go visit the folks at South Anchorage Chevrolet.

2018 chevrolet colorado, had a broken cooling line, they were able to get it in without an appointment, looked at it and replaced line in the time frame they told me, kept my informed of the progress (was a little more expensive than i had anticipated) . Addressed another issue not related to the cooling line. Everyone i had contact with was friendly and helpful.

I brought my vehicle in for diagnosis of 2 minor issues. When the quote for repairs was too expensive for me at the moment, I declined to have repairs done at this time. I was subsequently charged $500 ($250 per issue) for the diagnostic. My truck was only at the shop for a couple hours. The multiple diagnostic fee practice seems predatory and I was really disappointed because I declined the repairs to save money, but was hit on the back end with exorbitant fees. I expected to pay a diagnostic fee, but I never expected to pay $250 per issue.

Most of it was great. I wanted to make sure that the truck I purchased had the max towing capacity when I made my purchase. I asked the sales man I got a truck in a different color would they be able to put the max towing capacity package on it and he said he didnt think that would be an issue. I tried to stress the fact that I wanted the max towing capacity @ 7700lbs but was sold a truck with the lower 3500 lbs. I am happy with the truck but would have made a different selection if I would have known that I could not get the 7700 lbs package on the truck I signed for. A little disappointed in the salesman not having that knowledge to inform me after I explained several times that I wanted to make sure I was able to pull the 7700. He sold me a hitch and receiver package that is backorder instead.

Dawson, our service rep, was amazing. Our car was there for over a month waiting for parts and he was in communication with us frequently to let us know the status. We could only get up there on a Sunday to pick the car up and he made sure he gave the keys to the sales department since the service department was closed. He is a great asset to Chevy of South Anchorage.

Took my vehicle in for an oil change & wheel/tire rotation, ended up with a $665 bill for additional recommended services. They tried to make me buy new TPMS sensors until I told them that the ones that were on it, worked fine when I dropped it off. I don’t understand why they want to screw me over when I come to them for business.

Everyone was friendly and helpful and my salesman Chris was amazing. The financial part of it went smoothly and the detailing went well. Chris explained everything about the vehicle before we drove away. There was no pressure in this process.

When we arrived, the truck was at the front of the building ready to go. He was quick with the paperwork (or at least as quick as the paperwork would let him be 😆). He was extremely personable, kind, and not pushy. We would definitely buy another vehicle from him.

Always fun to talk to see what they’re up to. Glad they’re still around. I bought four trucks from your dealership. The service department could use a new face of customer service that is more welcoming and compassionate about their customers. It took 4 hours to complete my oil change simply because the paperwork apparently took half the time. Unacceptable.

I was offered way less than what my trade in is worth, but I drove away in a truck that suited my needs.

You had my Truck since the first of February. When you called and said it was ready I picked it up and didn't get 10 miles and the check engine light came back on and after paying 4500 dollars it cost me an additional 1370 dollars because your tech didnt do a comprehensive quality check the first time. I will not bring my vehicle back in to your shop for service. Additionally it appears I was charged for an oil change when I paid for life time oil changes when I purchased the truck.

Dealership repaired a motor on the driver side running board. Shane was the intake service rep. He quickly got me checked in and then communicated with me over the next few days regarding repair and expense. Good service and communication repair was a little pricey. But over all the service was five star.

Two top notch salesmen at South Anchorage Chevrolet assisted me during my purchase of a new Trailblazer. Jerry Harris initially met with me and accompanied me for a test drive. He was pleasant and called me back to let me know that his team member would continue to help me on my return since he was on days off. I returned the next day and followed through with the purchase with Steve Friess. Steve has been so very helpful and kind in helping me set up and learn how to use the technology involved in driving my new car. He has a wonderful personality and has been able to explain (more than once) the use of the many facets offered with my vehicle. Thank you Steve and Jerry!

The folks in the repair shop were terrific. They fixed my problem as fast as they possibly could, however I have issues with my extended warranty coverage. There was obviously a problem with my e-brake that caused excessive wear way beyond normal and my warranty covered none of it. I will never purchase an extended warranty again from GM.

Steve .... was very straight forward and helpful. We'd had bad experiences with dealerships being sneaky, hiding extra fees and services before. He laid it all out for us with full transparency, that gave us peace of mind to move forward. It made the stress of buying a brand new car, after only driving used previously, minimal.

This is a “first come first serve “ shop..this is not right. There is no ability to schedule and NO ONE should have to show up 2-3 hours early before they open to get serviced. If I had known this when I purchased my car, I would not have. I would have searched other dealerships and my first question would be, “how do you handle your service department scheduling.” No more vehicles will be purchased from Anchorage Chevrolet for this reason.

Shane was great at explaining my options

Talked with service rep in summer of '25 about a problem with the powertrain (clicking/slipping) as the car accelerated in a new direction, indicating to me perhaps a loose motor mount). Brought the car in and the tech was kind enough to take time to observe the issue and that it was definitely in the power train, but said that I'd have to leave the car with them for 6 weeks to have it diagnosed. I couldn't leave the car with them until October of '25, and by that time the steering wheel heater had stopped working. I left the car roughly October 15. It didn't get diagnosed (the steering wheel assembly would need replacement, but the slipping motor mount sound was "normal" and "just something these cars do") until about December 20, when I got the car back while parts were ordered for the steering wheel. It was going to be a few weeks for the parts to arrive, then the service would be scheduled. In April, the parts arrived and I attempted to schedule the repair for a window in May when I knew I wouldn't be needing the car. They'd call me when they'd talked with the tech. Never happened. Finally, after the service center didn't respond to my text inquiries, I went to the dealership in person and waited about an hour to schedule the warranty repair, which eventually happened in early June. The service center dropped just about every ball on this one and made nothing easy.

I drove up and got right in and it didn’t take long at all! Easy to do and friendly- The only thing is it would be nice to remind me when the next time I need to have I need to bring it in. Also the Video “Walk Around” missed the driver’s rear taillight- “Broken and I needed to ask about getting it fixed? Otherwise when I ask the person that checked me out was very knowledgeable and gave me good advice to get it fixed. *****

Very disappointed in the customer service I received. I have been a faithful customer for almost 20 years between two vehicles. I had to bring my car in just 3 weeks before the "scheduled" oil change under my lifetime oil change contract due to a faulty seal around the drain bolt and my car suddenly started leaking oil. My car was 2 quarts low from the faulty seal and the oil change/seal replacement was urgent. Upon check in I was notified that due to being 3 weeks early (actual mileage due was still 3k out) the oil change will now be $200 and not covered under my lifetime oil change of 2 per calendar year. It also just happens that now, my currently scheduled next lifetime oil change is in January, so the dealership will not have to honor the 2nd oil change of the calendar year for my vehicle that I am owed and due under the contract. This is the only dealership that has ever performed an oil change on my vehicle, a deteriorating seal is something that should have been noticed and discussed for replacement just 5 months prior with the previous oil change, however, it was not. This is down right disappointing and I will definitely remember this when it comes time to purchase my next vehicle, as if this is the general consensus of how to treat long time customers, well, they may have just lost one.

I really wish that texting was convenient and staff was more responsive when it comes to servicing my car or at least a phone call would be nice too. The automation text also tells me how I can text my concerns with you guys and you’ll respond, but you never do respond

Everything went great. Two things that would have made it better are: 1. The truck was not washed and detailed when I took ownership, merely rinsed off. 2. The tank of fuel was not topped off, but was 3/4 tank Small details, that would have made me happier. Otherwise, Steve was pleasant to work with, and Isaac made the paperwork part go quickly.

i don’t know where to begin. I’ve regularly run into issues with dealing with this place.

It took four hours for an oil change, then was informed after the truck was out of the bin, that the fuel and air filters should be changed , even though it was on the diagnostic test done prior to accepting vehicle for service! Got there At 10:05 am did leave until five hours later, after being told about the air and fuel filter! The service intake guy told me he “was lost” about his job. He obviously has no competence! I will go as far to say he is on some sort of power trip.

Dealing with the agent at the desk great. Unable to make an appointment to get repairs done is unacceptable. They wanted me to leave my truck for a month with no date of repair.

Had my 1st oil change done on my 2026 Silverado. I got there very early and was 1st in line. The initial oil change was no cost to me and was completed very quickly. Thank You!

I had a good experience at the dealership. The salesman did a very good job dealing with me! My only complaint is the condition of the truck at delivery, it was supposed to be detailed and ready to go. It was not! It had not been washed, the interior had sand on the driver side floor on and underneath the floor mat.The truck bed was covered with dust and dirt. The salesman offered to take it back and clean it but I didn’t have time. If that’s the best your detail people can do you better get new ones! When you buy a 71k truck it ought to be shining like a diamond! Lastly the DEF tank was only half full.

I bought many vehicles from the dealership. This time around was just as good of an experience as ever. Employees were knowledgeable and accommodating.

I went in for a oil change and a low tire. I informed them that my low air pressure light is on for my back passenger tire. I asked them to look at it since I was sure there was a nail or something in it. They did the oil change and that was it. Didn't look at the tire or tell me anything just added air and called it good didnt even check it for a nail. The person at the counter was very rude and had a attitude with me. I saw my truck outside it was done so I went to get a status check on it and he yelled at me about not coming up to the counter til he called me. I was told to go to him and check since I had a question. Didn't even get to ask him the question I had about my tire. Worst experience I have delt with

The day of the service was smooth. Making the appointment was a very poor experience. After calling everyday for a week straight and no return phone calls I had to physically go to the service department to get the ball rolling

Josh, the service agent was very helpful and openly communicative. My Truck was ready quicker than quoted. This issue occurred just outside of the 1 year manufactures warranty, so I was hoping for more customer service from GM via additional cost reductions. I know Josh did what he could. Also, the projected lead times coupled with the limited loaner pool is a real headache

On July third we qualified for the gm 0% financing for 60 months 1st payment due in 90 days. I live 300 miles from the dealership. I arrived in Anchorage on the 7th and emailed my sales rep to call me . I did not hear from him we had medical appointments on the 8th I called our sales rep and he apologized for not responding on the 7th due to a family medical but he would have another rep help me for pickup. Upon arrival one of your sales people named Alex assisted me during this time I was informed that I would not be able to receive the financing I had been approved for because I needed to take procession of the vehicle on the 7th which I was not informed about, which ended up costing me $3,600 would have been nice to know!!!!!
