The 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500: A Perfect Blend of Power and Versatility
Power You Can Depend On
Every Silverado has a capable engine, with four choices overall. The TurboMax offers 310 hp and a best-in-class torque of 430 lb-ft. It’s standard on the WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, and LT Trail Boss and comes with an eight-speed auto transmission. Then there’s the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8. That one offers 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque and comes standard on the LTZ and High Country. It’s available on an array of others and balances power with efficiency.
The 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 is available for the RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, ZR2, and High Country trims, and it gives you 420 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. Finally, there’s a Duramax 3L turbo-diesel option that’s standard on the ZR2 and available on the Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country. That one’s got 305 hp and a whopping 495 lb-ft of torque and can tow up to 13,300 lbs.
Tow Anything
Speaking of towing, the Silverado makes that easy with options that you choose depending on your trailering needs. There’s eight cameras that can offer you up to 14 different views to make visibility and orientation simple. There’s also Trailer Blind Zone Alert and an available Trailering App that not only allows you to basically monitor the trailer but also to customize how you do so and save settings for various trailers.
Comfortable and Functional Interior
If you’re spending long hours in your Silverado, for work or play, you want a place that’s nice to spend time in. The infotainment system is compatible with Google built-in, which means you can download Play Store apps, use Google Maps, and get help from Google Assistant. There’s wireless compatibility with your Android or Apple smartphone, too, if you prefer that. A huge 13.4-in touchscreen is available, and an available 12.3-in digital driver information center makes it easy to keep an eye on the truck while never taking your eyes off the road.
You get remote keyless entry, rear air vents, a rear seat reminder, USB ports, and SiriusXM and Wi-Fi hotspot capability on all trims. Higher trims offer goodies like a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, a power-sliding rear window with defogger, a heated steering wheel, heated front and passenger seats, and even heating for the rear seats (important for our neck of the woods!).
