Introducing the 2025 Chevy Tahoe

The 2025 Tahoe is a truck-based SUV with standard seats for eight. A range of different interior layouts is available, including the possibility to replace the front bucket seats with a three-passenger bench for a total capacity of nine riders. Alternatively, you can opt for a seven-passenger layout with second-row bucket seats for enhanced comfort.

For daily items or outdoor gear, you get 25.5 cubic feet of rear cargo capacity. Regardless of the layout you prefer, all rear seats have folding backrests, allowing you to expand the cargo area up to 72.5 cubic feet behind the second row or 122.7 cubic feet behind the front seats. Roof-mounted side rails are standard and can be enhanced with the available roof rack cross rails, which are compatible with a range of cargo accessories.

Engine Options and Performance

The Tahoe not only has a truck-based frame, but it also comes with the same engines that power Chevy’s Silverado 1500 truck. Standard on most trims is a 355-horsepower 5.3L V8 engine with 383 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with rear-wheel drive and a ten-speed automatic transmission, which has electronically controlled overdrive and a Traction Select System with a tow/haul mode. Four-wheel drive is available on all trim levels.

If you need massive towing or hauling power, you can opt for a 6.2L V8 engine with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine is available on RST and upper trim levels and standard on the High Country. A 3.0L turbo-diesel engine is also available on the LT and upper trim levels. It delivers 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque, and great fuel economy ratings for a total driving range of 624 miles on a full tank.

Infotainment and Driver Assistance

Each Tahoe model is packed with next-gen technologies, including a 17.7-inch infotainment system with Google apps and services. Personalized profiles allow multiple drivers to customize the interface and recall their settings each time they drive. Natural voice recognition enhances your voice commands, while smartphone integration features bring convenience.

Standard driver assistance technologies include enhanced automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and bicyclist detection, reverse automatic braking, and blind-zone steering assistance. HD Surround Vision includes multiple around-the-vehicle camera views that can help you avoid obstacles and park more easily. Basic OnStar connected services are also standard across the lineup.
